I just noticed my application to PAR-08-023 has been assigned to the MABS study section for review. Why is the review no longer in its own SEP?

Due to various programmatic reasons, the program officers of this FOA have chosen to move the review of this FOA to a standing studying section. Starting in the Fall 2009, the review locus for all applications responding to PAR-08-023 will move to the MABS study section, http://cms.csr.nih.gov/peerreviewmeetings/csrirgdescriptionnew/bstirg/mabs.htm. We will be working with Dr. Ray Jacobson, the SRO of MABS to assure that the expertise required for the PAR is present in the panel and that the special review criteria and considerations in the PAR guidelines (see bulleted lists at http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-08-023.html#SectionV) are addressed in the review of these applications.
