In DDC 22, we removed Table 7 (Groups of Persons) and replaced it with direct use of notation already available in the schedules and in notation 08 from Table 1. For example, instead of building subdivisions of 305.43 Women’s occupations from Table 7, you build the subdivisions from notation derived directly from 001-999 in the schedules. One way to discover the removal of Table 7 in WebDewey is to do a search for “table 7” in Help. You should retrieve the Help topic, ‘WebDewey Overview.’ The fifth choice, ‘Edition 22 of the Dewey Decimal Classification,’ includes a link that points to New Features, available at http://www.oclc.org/dewey/versions/ddc22print/new_features.pdf.
