Recently, it has come to our attention that RIM’s newly released “version 5.0” Device Software for the Blackberry, that is now being shipped by some carriers (e.g. Verizon, Vodaphone, etc), is preventing the IntelliGolf smartphone-to-desktop software from synchronizing. For example, Verizon customers are telling us that “All worked perfectly [with IntelliGolf] until I installed Verizon’s new version 5.0 software.” Apparently, RIM (on behalf of some of their carriers) has introduced a bug (or change) into their new “version 5.0” Device Software that is preventing the IntelliGolf Birdie and/or Eagle edition software from synchronizing properly. The IntelliGolf software continues to synchronizing perfectly when running RIM’s “version 4.x” Device Software (e.g. version 4.5, 4.6, 4.7, etc) software. As such, this “version 5.0” issue needs to be addressed by RIM (and Verizon, etc) with a patch or fix. Unfortunately, if we create and issue a patch in the IntelliGolf software, that will break
