This issue has been addressed in a Honeywell service bulletin for the KFC-200/250 Flight Control/ Autopilot System. The problem was corrected by incorporating Mod 1 into the KAS-297 by replacing an EPROM on the unit’s microprocessor board. Please note that this Mod can no longer be performed, as the Mod kit is no longer available from Honeywell. If your autopilot system requires this Mod, a KAS-297 with Mod 1 must be located. Units above serial number 2100 had the Mod incorporated during manufacturing; an X on the Mod status tag will indicate that Mod 1 has been performed.
