Get a WaterPik, it will be a huge help while you have braces, it flushes your teeth with water instead of flossing. The pain will subside as you get used to your braces, but this is a good investment to help keep your teeth as clean as possible. Eventually you will be able to floss but the pik is a huge help because it can flush out any food etc. from under and around the braces as well. We add Listerine to ours and that gets it in, around all our teeth too and has been a big help in keeping our teeth healthy ( my daughter had braces and this helped immensely).

You’re teeth are going to hurt regardless if you floss them or not. When you first get your braces on, they might not hurt that bad, but giving it time it will get worse. But don’t worry, it’s normal and it will go away. When I first got my braces on I had to eat soup for weeks.

If you just got braces, you should probably take some pain medicine while you get used to it. It can be very painful at first. Of course, if you’re a minor, talk to your parents first!

Just do it. When i had mine – everything hurt. I couldn’t chew. I had to swallow everything whole. And always wear your retainer afterwards! I lost mine and when i found it my teeth had moved back and it was all a waste of time.

That’s natural. Just floss gently and eventually the pain will go away. You’re the same way I was when I first got braces.
