You have 3 months from the time you become an Assisted living facility administrator and/or manager to complete ALF Core Training. This includes taking ALF Core Training and passing a competency test. According to DOEA, “Administrators who have attended ALF Core Training prior to July 1, 1997, and managers who attended ALF Core Training prior to April 20, 1998, shall not be required to take the competency test”.
