I just got a DVD system put in my car TODAY, whats wrong with it?

So, I just bought a 2006 Nissan Quest (about 3 weeks ago) and got a factory DVD player and a fold down monitor installed in it today. Here’s the deal: the monitor works and the DVD player works BUT they will not work together. I can have the monitor on but as soon as I turn on the DVD player the whole things shuts down (and it won’t turn back on)or I can have the DVD player on and as soon as I turn on the monitor the whole thing shuts down (and it will not come back on). However, I can turn off the car and then start the car again and it will work again, just not together. What is wrong with it and how can I get it fixed? Also, how much will it cost to fix it (I live in Texas if that helps any)? Thank you in advance, I appreciate any and all input! A: Something is wired wrong. Take it back to whoever installed it. They are responsible to wire it correctly so that it works they way it is designed to. If you leave it wired improperly then you risk the chance of burning up either the DVD
