I just called tech support and the guy called me an idiot. Should I report him to the better business bureau?
Report it to his supervisor. If you are not satisfied with their response then go to the BBB. To tech support people: You need to remember even when a customer is an idiot it is not the job of a support person to inform the customer of it. Unless you work in a lab where you are administering IQ testing that is! Maintaining a professional demeanor is something everyone should strive for in the workplace. If the customer is abusive then you have a reason to politely terminate the conversation but if the customer is merely annoying or slow remember that they are after all are paying your salary.
