If it’s a plate steel/iron stove without a protective outer shell, 36 inches from combustibles is required; 18 inches if you use the protective wallboard on 1 inch spacers. If you have the outer shell (cabinet model stove), 18 inches is OK. You need 18 inches floor protection on the side you load the stove. Homostote Co. sells the wallboard… NCFR board; Non-Combustible Fire Rated, or you can have a sheetmetal guy bend you up a wall protection on a bench brake (it reflects heat better).
