The first thing to check is the electronic fuel injection enhancer module (or EFIE) is functioning properly and calibrated for your engine’s Oxygen sensor readings. If the EFIE module is not properly calibrated, the reduced hydrocarbons in your vehicle’s exhaust will tell the O2 sensor to report a lean air/fuel mixture and cause the car’s computer to add more fuel to the mix thereby causing a drop in fuel mileage.
