There are over 500 clubs and organizations at Maryland. Examples include intramural sports, from softball, soccer, and flag football, to badminton, ultimate Frisbee, and water polo. 80% of students participate in intramurals Other clubs include the Black Student Union, the Asian American Student Union, Latino Student Union, fencing club, ballroom dancing club, and rock climbing club etc.. A list can also be found at www.stars.umd.edu which contains an updated list of student organizations, as well as contact info and the website (if applicable) for the group. Plan on attending the First Look Fair where representatives from these organizations will be present and you can gather resources, learn more about how to get involved, and connect with other students with similar interests. Wednesday, September 17th and Thursday, September 18th from 10 am – 3 pm on McKeldin Mall.
