I heard that there are alot of Canadian geese on the property; is that true?
Canadian geese have become a nuisance for many outdoor locations located near water. At AIResort, they generally stay away from the shorelines where RV sites are located, but have been drawn to the shoreline areas near the marina, swimming beach, Elfun Square, and other less-populated areas. Starting in 2006, we hired a geese control service, which uses highly trained border collies to intimidate and chase-off the geese – our first geese patroller was a border collie named “Babe” – “Babe” turned out to be one of our key employees. We are pursuing additional tactics (plastic coyote figures, pyrotechnics, patrolling, etc) to scare the geese, but as supposed endangered wildlife, it is not possible to really eliminate them.
