I heard that the GRE Program is offering some test takers a free retest on the GRE General Test. Where can I get more information?
A. In October 2000, the GRE Program implemented a review process of individual test performance for the computer-based GRE General Test. The purpose of the process is to analyze each test taker’s performance data to identify instances where the score received may not accurately reflect the test taker’s ability level. This occurs in a small number of cases; in these instances, a free retest is offered to the examinee. For more information, test takers can see Frequently Asked Questions About the Free Retest Policy and score users can see Frequently Asked Questions About Retest Scores.
