MICROLIFE blood pressure monitors measure the pressuring during the deflation period. It is not known if there are any differences at all and to our knowledge the inflation technology is not under medical. So no body can say to day that there is any advantage or disadvantage. When blood pressure monitoring is performed, the cuff pressure is inflated to close the artery and the measurement is performed during the pressure deflation. In the last years, some electronic home monitors applied the measurement during the cuff inflation period. This should theoretically be similar but as there are not yet any clinical studies available as to the accuracy of this method, this technology has several uncertainties about it. Medical literature does not very much discuss this technique.
