I heard that Snowshoe Road, the access road to AIResort, was unpaved and difficult to drive on; is that true?

Prior to 2005, Snowshoe Road was a somewhat narrow, sub-standard paved road with many potholes. During the summer of 2005, the road was under construction and the asphalt was temporarily removed. By late summer 2005, the town highway department widened, removed some of the tight curves, and completely re-paved Snowshoe Road. While we cannot take credit for re-paving Snowshoe Road, AIResort’s customers are quite pleased with the improvement.
