I heard that reverse osmosis water systems waste a lot of water?
Reverse osmosis does waste water to produce your pure drinking water. The extra water wasted is needed to flush the membrane as it is removing contaminates. This keeps the membrane clean and rinses the contaminates down your drain. Some systems will waste up to 5-6 gallons to make one gallon of pure water. Our systems use about 3-4 gallons to make one gallon pure water under normal pressure. Our systems also include an auto shut off valve to stop water waste once the tank is full. This shuts the water supply off to the system then turns it back on again once water is drawn from the tank.
