Although Sakic and Nolan both wore number 88 in their respective rookie years, Lindros had nothing to do with it. Both wore the number before Lindros was drafted, and both immediately switched to their preferred numbers as soon as they became available. No Nordique wore 88 after Lindros was drafted in 1991. Sundin wore number 13 the entire time he was in Quebec.
