The meeting on February 22nd was to address questions about the proposed policy. There have already been several opportunities for formal input via surveys, parents were invited to participate on the uniform committee (see October 2009 newsletter), and parents have been free to call or email questions and concerns since early this fall. Hundreds of parents have taken advantage of those opportunities and we thank them for their input! Since the proposed policy has been developed over many months, has been on the website, and was sent home to parents for their review — further input on the policy will be conducted by a simple “yes” or “no” vote. No board, committee or administration panel will make the decision on your behalf so it is not necessary to have a contest of opinions on the matter.
