I hear a scratching sound when I turn the volume knob. Whats up with that?
This is a byproduct of the circuit. The Dallas Rangemaster does the same thing, and it happens because there is voltage across the potentiometer. Most people find a setting that they like and leave it there, so this is usually not an issue. I could get rid of the problem by changing the circuit, but this would mean adding extra components, and the tone would be degraded slightly.
