There are already HOV lanes in metro Atlanta on I-75, I-85, I-285 and I-20. The Georgia Department of Transportation is planning on expanding HOV service to additional high congestion areas in the north Gwinnett I-85/I-985/Ga. 316 corridor and both east and west of Atlanta on I-20. There are also plans to add HOV lanes to I-75 and I-575 north of Atlanta, to Georgia 400 and to I-675 south of the city.
