A. Yes. Please note that each individual site must terminate on the provider’s IMA ATM switch appropriately. For example, the end of the circuit running IMA must be terminated as IMA by the provider on their switch. If the ATM switch providing this service is privately owned, please ensure that this is configured appropriately. In the figure below, R1 is using an IMA card and it is connected to an IMA ATM Telco switch. The configuration on R1 is a regular IMA configuration. Please read Inverse Multiplexing Over ATM (IMA) on Cisco 2600 and 3600 Routers for a complete example. For R2, the figure below shows a regular ATM T1 configuration. For this to work, the Telco switch should have a similar configuration on the side connecting R2.
