I have tried to fix the Newlath 2000 with the traditional Newlath 2000 fixing plug, but the substrate is poor and I am having difficulties. Do you have an alternative fixing plug?

A. Random stone walls, Cobb walls etc. are uneven and may require a longer fixing. Use Newton Cobb fixings (90mm long) with Newton Mastic and proceed as with normal Newlath plugs. Note: Random and uneven walls should be dubbed out with a tight render coat prior to the application of the material. Do not attempt to level the walls on top of the Newlath 2000 as differential thickness of the material may result in cracking of the finish due to the render/plaster drying out unevenly.
