No, you don’t have to lop them yourself nor ask someone else to do it for you with an engine saw or the like. You should contact your local Aes-Sonel office and agree with them on when they should come and lop your trees. Only trained Aes-Sonel staff can take the safety measures required to carry out such an operation. They may also visit your sector to carry out lopping without notifying you in advance; all they expected from you is collaboration.
