I had a computer with all USB 2.0 ports and still got that effing message. If you want to disable it… 1. Open Device Manager (click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc in the Run window, and then click OK.) 2. Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers section at the bottom of the device manager window. Locate and then double-click a host controller that has either the word Universal or the word Open in the title. 3. In the properties box, click the Advanced tab, and then select the Don’t tell me about USB errors check box. When it comes down to it, you either have USB 2.0 or USB 1.1, and Windows nagging you about it won’t change that.

If one is high-speed, they all will be…. you probably don’t have any. This is a hardware issue… your USB controller is probably a pre-USB2 one, and the only way you’ll be able to do it is to add another controller. You could try and prove me wrong…
