I have taken some literacy-related courses or courses similar to the ones in the ReadOregon online catalog at another university. Do I have to take all the courses?
That depends. Because so much variance exists in how institutions structure their programs and courses, you may submit a waiver form to PSU’s ReadOregon advisor. Attach a course syllabus or detailed course description of the course you want to substitute for a ReadOregon course or thematic area. The course needs to have been taken within the last seven years. The waiver needs to be approved by both PSU’s ReadOregon advisor and the chair of PSU’s Curriculum and Instruction Department.
