This type of scenario is a Microsoft Services Provider Licence Agreement (SPLA) which enables services providers and independent software vendors (ISVs) to licence Microsoft licensed products on a monthly basis over a three year agreement term. These licensed products are used to provide software services and hosted applications. The SPLA agreement is best suited for businesses that are web hosted providers, application services providers, web or internet services providers etc.. This agreement is different to the others as this allows commercial hosting of Microsoft licensed products as this is designed specifically for service providers to deliver software services to their customer and even third parties.
