I have specific medical conditions which may affect what type of Labor Analgesia is provided. How do I contact an Anesthesia Provider prior to my delivery date?
If you feel you have a medical condition which may affect labor analgesia, please bring this to the attention of your Obstetrician, Family Practice Physician or Nurse Midwife. If they feel it is necessary they will schedule a time for you to consult with an Anesthesia provider in the weeks prior to your scheduled due date. If you are attending the hospital-sponsored birthing class, an anesthesia provider is often present during a portion of the class for questions and answers.
