First of all, you must know that FG don’t host any images – it simply means that you can’t upload any image to FG server. You have to type in WWW address (URL) of image from other server. After sending/saving profile form, server validates your image: checks if it is really an image (not some sort of code) and if it exists (does not return ‘404 Not Found’ message). If everything is OK, your avatar is set. When setting your avatar be sure that its URL ends with ‘jpg’,’jpeg’, ‘png’ or ‘gif’ and starts with ‘http://’.
