The Nintendo Wii system is backwards compatible with existing Gamecube games. You would need a controller that utilizes Gamecube connectors in order play to play Gamecube games. The Gamecube ports can be found at the top edge of the Wii system. You will find two flaps, one long and one short; simply flip open the longer flap and you will find the ports there.
