I have several pine trees whose needles are yellowing and dropping. What is wrong?

It is normal for pines to lose some needles from the inner part of the branches in the fall. In a drought year, an abnormal amount of leaves will yellow. If the tree looks unhealthy, however, or if needle tips are browning, there may be another problem. Consult the Extension Office.
