I have several different SAMS and other CA- products running on my system. In what order should they come up at IPL time?
CA-Compress supports any order, but for the SAMS products we recommend the following order: Product name CA-Compress CA-Disk CA-Allocate CA-Vantage Subsystem or started task name ZSAM DMS VAM SAMS Note: You should bring these down in the reverse order from how you brought them up. Otherwise they may not be able to find their intercepts due to being intercepted themselves. In particular, CA-Compre3ss will properly disable its intercepts even if it comes down in the wrong order, but for those intercepted by others, it will not be able to remove its intercept modules from CSA.
