I have registered my child for soccer but have not been contacted by a coach. Whats going on?

Each child’s coach should make contact prior to the first game. However, a child may have been overlooked and the SCSC board needs to know when you haven’t been contacted. You can either call the Hotline (407-932-9799) or email the registrar at: registrar@stcloudsoccer.com. Coaches are volunteers and typically, a coach is the parent of one of the children on the team. Sometimes there are not enough volunteers to fill all teams and SCSC must find volunteers to fill open slots and this can take additional time. Teams are formed around coaches; however, all player registrations are accepted during open registration, even if a coach has not yet been identified. Extensive efforts are made to identify and recruit coaches and temporary or alternate coaching resources are sometimes used in lieu of a permanent coach until one is available, but in the eventual absence of a coach, a team may be disbanded unless a parent steps forward to fill the spot.
