Our aim was to start you on your path of learning Linux and CNC. There is a whole lot you can learn beyond these instructions. For starters you can check out the EMC website http://www.linuxcnc.org and get on the mailing lists. There are also more complex books and documentation on G-code available at your favorite book store or library.
