I have previously attended summer institutes sponsored by the Ashbrook Center. Can I receive credit for these in the Masters program?
If you attended a summer institute in 2002, 2003, or 2004, you have the option to complete a Directed Study course (AHG 670) to convert the summer institute into Master’s program credit hours. Because of the additional writing requirements of the Master’s program courses, you will have to complete additional work as a part of the Directed Study. You can convert up to three institutes (2 credit hours each, for a total of 6 credits), and this must be done within five years of the summer institute. Further information about the policy, including detailed instructions, are available on-line at: http://mahg.ashland.edu/policies/institutes.html. Attendance at the Ashbrook Center’s Saturday seminars or the summer programs in the early 1990s are not eligible for conversion into Master’s program credit hours.
