I have opened a old file I transcribed some time ago and WindBMD has asked me if I want to save a new district name. How can this be when it wasn new when I transcribed it?
From time to time WinBMD uploads a new district file containing the names of all the districts used by FreeBMD. Sometimes an error is found in the name of a district and it is changed and this can cause districts in existing transcriptions not to be recognised. WinBMD will then ask if you want the name added to your local (supplementary) district list – you probably want to answer “yes” to that question.
