I have never taken a French course at UVic. Where do I begin?
Normal entry points for French courses are as follows: • Beginner => FRAN 100 • French 11 => FRAN 120 • French 12 => FRAN 160 • Immersion (grade 10+)=> FRAN 180 If you are uncertain of which course placement suits your background in French, or if it has been more than three years since taking French, please contact the Undergraduate Advisor, Dr. Claire Carlin, for advising and possible testing.
