I have never scuba dived in my life, how could I get started?
There are two options. If you would like to try first before committing to a full dive course, you can do an “introductory dive”. This does not certify you as a diver…. But is a way for you to ‘try before you buy’. To become a certified diver, you start with a beginner’s course, which is usually called “Open Water” diver course. After successful completion of the course you will be a certified scuba diver. More than 30,000 people learn to dive on the Great Barrier Reef each year.
