I have my DVD player connected to TV with HDMI. How do I get sound thru Denon receiver?
But looking at the rear panel of the Denon, you have 6 optical inputs, so why not connect both the TV and the DVD optical outputs to it? . Also, if there is a control benefit to it, you can run the component video from the DVD to one of your two component video inputs on the Denon, and then the component video monitor output to the TV. I have seen several assertions from published AV experts that there is no video signal difference between that and HDMI.
