The Annual Election Period (AEP) starts November 15th and ends December 31st of each year. During the AEP you may enroll, disenroll, change plans and/or companies, add Part D drug coverage and delete Part D drug coverage. The Open Enrollment Period (OEP) runs from January 1st to March 31st of each year. During the OEP you may change plans and/or companies ONCE, but you may not add or eliminate the Part D drug plan. You may be eligible to enroll during a Special Election Period (SEP) if you have Extra Help from Medicare or other extenuating circumstances. When you are out of enrollment options, you are “locked in” to your health plan generally for the rest of the calendar year. Conversely, when you are out of enrollment options, you are “locked out” of any other health plans for the remainder of the calendar year. Call Mid Rogue Health Plan/CareSource for more information.
