When the maximum temperature of 99 °C is entered, the metallic adapter plate for 0.2 ml tubes in the thermoblock for microtiter plates reaches a temperature of at least 97 °C. The temperature in the tubes will reach the final temperature ca. 12 min. after 99 °C appears on the display. It could be that the – possibly bent – microtiter plate had a bad contact with the thermoblock. A low temperature measured by a customer could, for example, be due to an over large sensor, or temperature loss over a long path to the measurement device.
