A Physiotherapist needs to attend to you daily for about 2 to 3 weeks after surgery. Please sit on chairs or sofas or use beds that have a minimum height of atleast 18 inches {ideally 20 inches) from the ground. If you are overweight, please use an adjustable height chair commode for 2 months to sit on for toilet purposes (minimum 18-20 inches height). If you are not overweight, you may use a “toilet seat raise” to raise the height of your toilet to atleast 18 inches (this is available at all leading Chemist / Pharmacy shops). Do not bend forward to lift things up from the floor – use a special device called “Helping Hand” for this.
