Performance management is an important part of the Universitys probation process and is the vehicle for you and your supervisor to discuss your development needs and how they can best be supported, particularly during the probationary period. If you meet the eligibility requirements and the study is in line with the study assistance guidelines, your senior manager may approve some study release. Alternatively, the senior manager may ask you to complete the probationary period before agreeing to study release. If you intend to apply for financial support on completion of your course(s), you will need to provide a copy of the relevant section from your performance management plan as evidence of prior approval when submitting your claim for financial reimbursement.
