I have hyperpigmentation in a spot that never gets sunlight. What could be the cause?

It’s about the size of a quarter and blotchy. It’s under my breast, and the only time I can remember ever sunning there was in a tanning bed over two years ago. Also I want to know if this is something I should be worried about.
