I have heard there will be a new rebate without a means test from July 2009 called the Solar Credits scheme. Can I participate using that in Buying Group #3?

Yes you can participate as installation for BG#3 won’t start until probably mid July 2009. Click here to read a comparison between the current rebate and the new incentive. If you wish to join Buying Group #3 under the newer Solar Credits scheme, please be aware the scheme has not yet been legislated by Federal parliament. Local Power will not accept any liability for financial loss incurred by Buying Group member decisions based on the currently available information. The Department of Climate Change has a fact sheet and FAQ on Solar Credits which you can read by clicking here and here respectively. Local Power also does not currently offer a finance option for orders under the Solar Credits Scheme.
