I have heard the term “paper-paradox.” What does it mean and does it apply to EncounterPRO?

“Paper-paradox” refers to the assumption that physicians tend to include more data on electronic patient records than on paper charts and therefore the amount of printed paper increases. This term and its assumptions do not apply to EncounterPRO. First, structured data is more concise than narratives. Second, in less than two weeks after installation most of our physicians stop printing out encounters, period.
