I have heard that there is a cap on how many vehicles a manufacturer can sell and that the credit will then be reduced. How does this apply to purchasing a vehicle from Drive Electric?

This will not apply to any vehicles sold by Drive Electric in 2009. The 250,000 sales figure has not been reached yet and once it is reached the phase out only applies to purchases starting in the second quarter following when the limit is reached. So if the limit is reached before the end of the year, the phase out period would not begin until April 1st, 2010 -which is 90 days after the deadline for purchasing this class of vehicle.
