Webnames.ca pays CIRA immediately for the entire period that you choose. When you choose Webnames.ca, there are no tricks or gimmicks. Unfortunately, some registrars do withhold payment to CIRA claiming that they will pay it to CIRA each year, when it becomes due. We advise registrants who are considering using such registrars to carefully read their terms and conditions to ensure that there are no additional annual costs to cover CIRA fees. You should also satisfy yourself that your domain name(s) will be safe, should that registrar cease to operate within the next 10 years. This is a classic example of buyer beware!
