I have heard that bath liners are far better than reglazing. Is this true?
This is a myth. Bath liners can AND WILL fail. We’ve removed many failed liners. When the seal around the liner fails, water gets between the liner and the old tub. Once this occurs mold rapidly grows and the liner can have a “squishy” feel to it, due to water being trapped underneath. Liners are considerably more costly than refinishing, as much as 8 times more. Most liner companies will not warrant a liner unless they install their wall system as well. This combination can cost as much as $3000. Reglazing does not change the installation that you already have and have been tested and used for many years. And reglazing will be just as good looking and be more durable than liners. Please, visit our page The truth about BATH FITTERs where we explain this in detail.
