I have heard some rumours Is Japan racist?

In Japan, we call foreigners “gaijin”. Gaijin is shorten word of “Gaikokujin” which is “gaikoku”= foreign country + “jin” (hito) = people. We can see white and balck people as Gaijin immediately. But Asians like Korean and Chinese are not to be recognised until they speak out. Anyway, we often see Gaijin in crowded towns, so we do not think of them specially. But when we see them in small towns, maybe we see them with special cuoriosity, but not with bad feeling. So, you will feel special look in the small towns, but hope you do not mind it very much. We think this is the way everywhere in the world.
