No. Like most berks county summer swimming facilities, Wodenschiere has faced many challenges during the past few years. We recently sold about a third of our property. The revenue that came from that partial property sale enabled us to remain open. Two years ago we discovered a major leak in our pipes. We have since repaired the pipes and we can now say that our organization is solvent and ready to serve our members for the forseeable future. Our membership numbers are less than in previous years. But many, if not most, Berks County summer swimming pools are also facing a decline in membership. We still maintain that there is a need for summer swimming facilities in Berks County. And we intend to help fill that need by working hard to increase our membership while still offering an excellent facility.
